St. Croix Catholic School Dress Code

1. Uniform shorts may be worn starting the first day of school through October 31 and starting again on April 1 through the end of the school year.
2. On days when students are attending Mass, they are always to be in uniform. Uniform shorts are acceptable at Mass through October 31st and after April 1st.
3. Socks or tights are required. Short tennis/golf socks are not allowed. Belts are required for students in grades 3 - 8.
4. Sandals may only be worn on non-uniform days. A sandal is considered any shoe with an open back or toe, with or without a strap. Flip flops may not be worn at any time.
5. Hair must be worn neatly and be welll groomed. NO hair grooming products (hairspray, gel, mousse, etc) are allowed in school.
6. NO cosmetics (make-up) are allowed in K - 5. Lip balm is acceptable.
7. No caps or hats should be worn in the school building.
8. Shirts must be tucked in.
9. For safety purposes, only stud earrings are allowed.
10. Jumpers, split skirts, and skirts must be a MODESt length.
11. Uniform items may NOT be "designer" brands (including no Dockers) and must contain a blend of cotton and polyester. 100% cotton pants do not hold their shape or color. No jeans or 5 pocket pants are allowed. No exterior labeling is allowed with the exception of Donald's or Educational Outfitters labels.
12. Uniforms must be clean and neat in appearance - no stains, rips, or holes.
13. On non-uniform days, students are expected to observe standards of dress and grooming which emphasize neatness and respect or our Christian values.
14. Fridays are "Spirit Days." This means that students may wear Booster Club sponsored Knights athletic logo sweatshirts and t-shirts with their regular uniforms. Spirit Wear Order Form

St. Croix Catholic School Uniform Policy

Parents are requested to enforce the school uniform policy. A note from a parent will be required any day, other than designated special occasions, a student is not in uniform.

 Several options are available for purchasing uniforms. These include:

• Uniforms may be purchased at Donald's Department Store (972 Payne Avenue, St. Paul, MN), ordered from Donald's by phone at 651 776-2723, through Donald's web site http://www.donaldsuniform.com/, or at the SCCS Uniform Sale held at the school during the month of July. Donald's makes a donation to SCCS of a percentage of purchases of new uniform items made either at our uniform sale or at their store.
• Uniforms may also be ordered through the Land's End School catalog. (SCCS gets 3% of all sales back when you use the SCCS Preferred School number: 9000-6180-5.) To order call 1-800-469-2222 or visit their website www.landsend.com/school.
• JC Penney and some other department stores carry some acceptable lines of uniforms.
• Sweatshirts and sweater vests with the SCCS and SCCS Middle School logos are available at Heritage Embroidery at 1655 Market Drive in Stillwater. (651 430-9220)
• SCCS Booster Club Spirit Wear which can be worn with uniforms on Fridays only can be ordered through the SCCS office. Order forms are available in the office or can be printed here.
