Focus of SCCS Middle School Spanish
In our ever-increasing multicultural community and world, students need to develop a broader understanding and appreciation of others. This mutual respect is the basis of our Catholic faith: all are made in the image and likeness of God. Mutual respect is a necessary basis for more peaceful relations in our world. Instilling this in our young generations is a worthwhile investment.
Through the study of the Spanish language and culture, SCCS provides a program for students in eighth grade that is equivalent to the first level of high school Spanish. The overall goal is for the students to excel in the language and continue at the second level of Spanish in their ninth grade year.
