Middle School Spanish PhilosophyIn our ever increasing multicultural community and world, students need to develop a broader understanding and appreciation of others. Through the study of the Spanish language and culture, SCCS provides a program for students in eighth grade that is equivalent to the first level of high school Spanish.
My goals for each Middle School graduate are to:
In the Spanish program, the overall goal is for the students to excel in the language and continue at the second level of Spanish in their ninth grade year.
Imbedded Subjects: English – grammar
Frequency of class: Everyday, approximately 45 minutes
Textbook(s): Paso a Paso I; Ven Conmigo
Methods of Assessment: chapter tests – written and oral, chapter quizzes, daily homework, daily classroom conversation question/answer activities, and individual/group projects
