Although school is out, life at SCCS continues. SCCS supporters and staff are busy promoting our school and getting ready for another fantastic school year. Lumberjack Days Parade, Sunday, July 25, 2010 - Bring the whole family and march in the parade and/or help to decorate our float, donate candy to throw to the crowds, make signs, have fun . . . Washington County Fair SCCS Booth, August 4 - 8, 2010 - Spend a day or a few hours at the fair manning the SCCS promotional booth. You will be handing out literature about our school, answering questions, and offering a fun trivia game with candy prizes to visitors to the booth. Contact person is Sue Stanich, sstanich@comcast.net. Click here for a schedule of dates and times. Adults who help at the booth can earn Parent Participation Service Hours.3. Cleaning Classrooms - Last summer we had many, many parents who came in during the summer and gave the classrooms and hallways very thorough cleanings. Again this year we are asking for help with this job. Scheduled times are Tuesday, July 6; Thursday, July 8; Tuesday, July 13; and Thursday, July 15. All times are from 9 am until noon and/or noon until 3pm. If you would like to help, contact Diane Polley, dpolley@stccs.com. If you are tracking Parent Participation Service Hours, this activity will count.4. SCRIP sales - Most weekends during the summer SCRIP will be sold at St. Mary's and St. Michael's parishes. Once a month there will be sales at St. Charles. If you would like to sell after Masses one week or more, contact Jeanne Crea at jcrea@comcast.net. SCRIP sales have been a wonderful fundraising method for our school and the more the school can raise through SCRIP rebates, the less SCCS will have to raise tuition in the coming years.
