Computer/Technology Curriculum
Grades 3 - 5
Demonstrate safe, responsible use and care of technology
Communicate and demonstrate Internet safety.
Demonstrate respect for the work of others
Identify the different ways that computers are used in society
Identify major computer parts and processes – input, processing and output.
Use visual thinking software to group, label and sort data to solve problems.
Demonstrate basic touch-typing technique
Demonstrate basic computer navigation skills using windows, toolbars, menus and file structures.
Display awareness of spreadsheet parts and create a basic spreadsheet
Use spreadsheets to chart or graph data.
Use databases to locate and sort data.
Create, open and save basic word processing files.
