SCCS Chess Club

Come learn to play Chess with Schoolhouse Chess - Chess instruction for students in K - 8 grade. Both beginner and intermediate instruction.

Students in grades K - 5 will learn about the game of chess and how they can sign up for after school chess classes at an assembly on January 4. Classes are open to Middle School students also.

Classes begin Tuesday, January 19th and continue every Tuesday for 5 weeks until February 16th from 3:30 - 4:30 pm. Cost is $50 per student.  Complete a registraton form and return with the $50 fee by January 8th. For scholarship information contact Diane Polley at dpolley@stccs.com.

Come play Chess with your friends, or make new Chess Buddies!

When: 3 Tuesdays starting February 23 through March 9; Come one time or every week – no registration necessary. Please make sure that your child’s teacher knows when your child will be staying after school for Chess Club.

Time: 3:30 - 4:30 PM

Place: SCCS Cafeteria

Requirement: Students must understand Chess moves and want to play games with other students.

Ability Level: All levels! Grades K - 8

Bring: Chess board and playing pieces if you have a set to carry back and forth to school or if you wouldn't mind leaving it for the three weeks.

Cost: No cost!
